About
“Look, I made a hat”
Sondheim
I’m an award-winning writer and creator of AI systems used by millions of people. I am energized by solving unsolved problems with really smart people. I like making new things.
I’ve won writing awards from the Ambies, PEN America, Film Independent, the Tribeca Film Festival, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, New Musicals, Inc./Disney Imagineering, Theatre Now New York, and the Geena Davis Institute. I write ridiculous, absurd, and outrageous stories that ask us what we owe one another. They frequently have songs and tap dancing too.
As an architect of AI systems, I was an early employee at Hippocratic AI, where I wrote all prompting and designed the character, voice, and personality of a healthcare agent responsible for interacting with millions of patients while bringing healthcare abundance to all. I currently work at Luma AI, building multimodal general intelligence.
I have taught literature, writing, history, and math in elementary schools, high schools, community colleges, and correctional facilities on Rikers Island. I am passionate about the transformative power of education and work with PEN America as a mentor in the Prison & Justice Writing Program.
